Queer Healthcare Finder
As part of the Google Professional Certificate Program, I built a set of mockups for a mobile application and website aimed at helping queer individuals in America find safe, knowledgable, user verified and reviewed doctors.

Project overview
01
Pain Points
During user research, I performed a survey of two professional archaeologists, and several history enthusiasts. I also surveyed sites such as Atlas Obscura, Trip Advisor, and city websites like Goteborg.com

02
User Persona Creation
In order to further understand potential users, I created two different user personas. These personas aided in the creation of a user journey map and think through the prevention of pain points that were found in user research.
03
Wireframes and Low Fidelity Prototype
I created the low fidelity prototypes using Figma. I made the app interactive so that it could be operated by potential users during the user research phase.

04
Review User Feedback
Users indicated they would like to ensure privacy by not having too much personal information on the home page, clear ways to filter doctors by insurance, certain filters for articles, and easy ways to reschedule appointments.
05
Hifi Mockup
In the high fidelity mockup, the main page was changed so there was a wellness section, but it was made generalized so it would lead to other pages where users could personalize their privacy more easily. Icons were changed on the main page to be clearer and graphics were added to give a fun, friendly look. Lavender was selected as a traditionally queer color. Several options were given on each page to filter doctors by location and insurance. The options on the pages mirrored or exceeded what already existed on competing sites.
